No one likes cookie banners. But cookie banners are everywhere. So why don’t we have one?

Well, EU law requires you to use cookie banners if your website contains cookies that are not required for it to work. Common examples of such cookies are those used by third-party analytics, tracking, and advertising services. These services collect information about people’s behaviour across the web, store it in their databases, and can use it to serve personalized ads.

Some of the biggest offends are Google, Facebook, other advertisers and some of the other .com giants.

At LWD, we take privacy serious. We don’t use any of these services. We use the privacy focussed Cloudflare to handle our traffic and the privacy focussed Plausible Analytics – a lightweight and open-source website analytics tool.

There are no non-essential cookies from LWD.

We are fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA and PECR.

We’re proudly made and hosted in the UK and we believe our visitors should not have to sacrifice their privacy to deal with us at Lime Web Development.

Lime Web Development is a small and focused specialist web development agency based in Chorley, Lancashire. We primarily produce PHP web applications in WordPress, WooCommerce and CakePHP.
